July 30, 2000 We meet Raymond and Kim as we were waiting for Amy and Joel at the waterfront restaurant July 27, 2000. Raymond, Kim, and Lori sail the Shaman around the world and meet the owner in specific destinations. When Amy and Joel showed up at the Waterfront Raymond and Kim invited us for dinner on the Shaman. When they pointed to the Shaman we saw a small boat with one large mast in the distant bay. We did not know the surprise we were in for, small was an understatement for what the Shaman really is. Raymond picked all of us up by small boat at 1730 on July 30th, and we cruised out to the 88foot, $9 million yacht. The Shaman was an amazing site; from high tech computer systems, Jacuzzi tub, barbeque, large kitchen, two living areas which the front half housed the crew and the back half housed the owners. Kim made us couscous with feta cheese, dried mint, tomatoes and cucumbers and cabbage salad while Raymond grilled up the enormous steaks. The food was excellent and with great company. We spent 4 hours discussing their adventures as they sailed around the world. We learned a lot about the best countries to visit and about their lifestyles on the Shaman. It was an unforgettable experience to have on our honeymoon and we have Kim and Raymond to thank for their hospitality.
